LEONARD TO STATE
SWENSON P.R.'S BY A LOT!

For the third consecutive year, junior David Leonard has qualified for the 1A State Cross Country Meet. He medalled as well, Sat., Oct. 24, placing sixth at the Regional Meet in Leonardville. Another standout at the meet was junior Zach Swenson, who sped his way to a new career best time, by a whopping 41 seconds over last week's PR posting at the PTL Meet.
Junior Justin Beals finished just barely out of state qualifying position (top 10 runners qualify automatically), by coming home 12th.
The girls finished sixth as a team. The top three teams from each regional make it to the state meet.
Boys Results--David Leonard, 6th, 19:00 (State Qualifier); Justin Beals, 12th, 19:28; Zach Swenson, 17th, 19:44 (PR).
Girls Results--97 team points, 6th place--Nicole DeMars, 16th, 19:33; Shannon Wallace, 24th, 20:41; Catherine Wallace, 34th, 21:21; Janae Perkins, 39th, 22:19; Feodora Gebhardt, 45th, 26:08.
David Leonard will now head to Wamego, Sat., Oct. 31, where he will take to the starting line at 10:30 a.m. in the 1A State Meet.
