Governor's Achievement Award

Each year, the Governor's Achievement Award is bestowed upon a small number of schools for scoring in the top 5% of both reading and mathematics. Having one school receive the Governor's Achievement Award is a huge honor. This year, that prestigious award has been given to Miltonvale High School!
Qualifying schools must also achieve the standard of Excellence in both reading and math. This year, we achieved that standard on every math and reading test we took. Around the state, only forty-four elementary schools, twelve middle/junior high schools, and eighteen high schools qualified for the award.
The recognition for this award goes to the students, teachers, and principals for their tremendous work and to the USD 334 Board of Education for their constant support of school district endeavors. This award is one more indication to our patrons that the children of Southern Cloud USD 334 receive the best possible education.
The Superintendent will officially present the award to the school board during the December 8th board meeting at Glasco Grade School. Then on Tuesday, December 9th the award will be presented to the students and staff members from Miltonvale High School.
