LEONARD IMPROVES STATE CC MARK
Runs at State for 3rd Consecutive Year

David Leonard improved his previous best time and placing, from a year ago when he ran at the 2009 1A State Cross Country Meet in Wamego, Sat, Oct. 31.
Leonard's clocking of 19:15 was 1 minute and 6 seconds faster than in the '08 State Race, and his 36th place finish was 28 spots higher in the standings than last year.
He finishes off the 2009 cross country season for Southern Cloud, and captured medals in seven of the nine races run. Leonard, a junior, returns next year, looking to set up a fourth straight trip to State, and lower his PR of 18:45, set at Beloit this season.
