Southern Cloud's Jacy Martin earned a trip to the 1A State Cross Country Meet, Sat., Oct. 29, at Wamego. She finished in 61st place, with a time of 20:28.
This completed a fine freshman campaign for Martin, who medalled in six of the eight races she competed in during her first season. Her fifth-place finish in the regional meet last week was the highest for a Southern Cloud girl at a regional since the girls' races became 4000 meters several years ago.
