Two Named on All-State Lists

     Three publications in Kansas have concluded their high school basketball reporting for the 2016-2017 season with their All-State teams in each division.  The Lady Warriors were able to land two players on all three lists in 1A – Division II, senior point guard Rayna Schmidt and sophomore shooting guard Kaitlyn Morris. 

     Schmidt, who was previously named to the First Team All-NPL for the second straight year, earned First Team All-State Top Ten from Sports in Kansas, Second Team All-State from the Topeka Capital Journal, and Second Team All-State from the Wichita Eagle.  A year ago, she was Second Team Top 20 in Sports in Kansas and Honorable Mention in the other two.  Schmidt averaged 12.5 points, 3.6 steals, and 3.2 assists per game. 

     Morris, who was listed All-NPL Honorable Mention, was named Second Team All-State Top 20 from Sports in Kansas, Honorable Mention in the Topeka Capital Journal, and Honorable Mention in the Wichita Eagle.  Morris averaged 11.4 points per game and 2.4 steals.
