Trips to the Nursing Home

Mrs. Trembath

1st, 2nd and kindergarten have been having wonderful trips to the nursing home on Friday mornings. One week we read our books to them and our sight words. Then the next week we do an activity or craft. One of our favorite crafts was coloring. We have so much work to do during class that we do not have a lot of time to just color. We colored some cool looking penguins last week and everyone enjoyed making patterns on them.

Another thing that we did right before Christmas break was ride our pretend polar express and drink hot cocoa. We even got to wear our PJ’s! What a fun day that was. I think that may have been some of my student’s favorite day. We read the polar express book the day before and made our necklaces with a bell attached. Only those who believe in Santa can hear the bells ring.

We are all really over all this cold weather and are ready for some warmer days so we can go outside to play! At least Mrs. Trembath is ready for outside recess.

Thank you for all your support for our school. Our students look up to everyone in this community.
