"I was hoping for a little better scoring out of our players today. Being at home should be an advantage and we really didn't take full advantage of it today. We did improve our scores over last week and I am happy with that, and I was really happy for Carrie, I thought she did a good job today of staying with it and leading us. We play again on Tuesday at Mankato. I'm expecting our kids to give a great effort there. We usually play that course well and I hope that doesn't change this year.
I also wanted to thank the many members of the the Glasco and Miltonvale golfing community for all they did to help put on this event. They loaned us golf carts, cleaned up the club house, and got the course mowed (they looked great), and supported the kids. Also, I want to thank Mr. Lobaugh, Mrs. Wallace, & Mr. Blochlinger, your help was the best! All your help is deeply appreciated." Quoted Southern Cloud Coach Rick Hatfield.
In the B-Team part of the Southern Cloud Invitational the Warriors had 2 players playing. Kaleb Thuma and Tristen Steptor were seeing their 1st golfing action for the Warriors. Kaleb shot a 65 (18th) for 9 holes and Tristen shot a 67 (T21). Shane Renken of lakeside won the tournament with a 43.
In the girls division Shiloh Studt of Southern Cloud, playing her 1st golfing event, took 2nd with a 59. Jenny Coops of Lakeside won the event with a 50.
