Southern Cloud Show Youth in 1st Action of the Year

The Southern Cloud Warrior Golf Team took to the fairways on Thursday afternoon. It was the first action of the year, as the Warriors were competing in the St. John Invitational. The Warriors struggled a little in this meet, mainly do to inexperience on grass greens and most of the Warrior team is new to A -Team golf this year.
"I thought we did pretty good considering we have a lot of new faces on the course this year. They went out and worked hard at it, but it was tough at times. There is a lot of difference between grass greens and sand greens and we struggled with the grass greens quite a bit." Said Warrior Coach Rick Hatfield.
Tyler Pinnell and Grady Brayton finished at 117 for 12th & 13th place, Cy Schmidt shot 129 for 16th place, Cody Denio shot 136 for 17th place, and Carrie Brayton shot 146 for 19th place. The Team had a total of 483 for 4th place. The top finisher on the day was Brad Ellenz of St. Johns/Tipton at 81, and the top team was St. John/Tipton at a 366 total.
The Warriors next action is hosting their own Southern Cloud Invitational Tournament on Thursday, starting at 3:00 PM. The A-Team will play at Glasco and the B-Team will play at Miltonvale.
