WARRIORS FACE THE LINCOLN LEOPARDS

On Friday, January 27, 2012, the Warriors went to Lincoln for the 4th time in the last 10 days.  The host was not very kind to the Warriors jumping out to a 16-5 lead after the first quarter.  The second quarter got worse with the host Leopards leading 39-11.  The second half got better with the third quarter ending with each team scoring 10 points, but the Warriors still trailing 49-21. The final quarter the Warriors out scored the Leopards 12-10.  The Lincoln Leopards won 59-33.  Leading the way for the Warriors was Grady Brayton with 17 points. Cy Schmidt and Braydon Prochaska had 3 points each, with a hand full of Warriors with 2 points each.  The Warriors shot 41% from the field making only 12 out of 29 shots. 

WARRIORS FACE DEPLETED KATS TEAM 

The Chase Kats made the trip to Glasco on February 3, 2012, with only 5 boys.  They had 3 sick leaving them with only 5 players.  The Warriors had a fight on their hands with the 5 players from Chase.  The Kats lead after the first quarter 10-9.  The Warriors came out in the second quarter and played better defense, outscoring Chase 9-7, leading 18-17 at half time. The Warriors came out in their normal second half fashion, out scoring the Kats 10-7, leading at the conclusion of the 3rd quarter 28-24.  In the final quarter, the home team scored 15 points to the visitors 14, giving the Southern Cloud Warriors their second win of the season with a final score of 43-38.
Leading the way with 21 points was Grady Brayton.  Followed by Dakota Cooper and Cy Schmidt with 9 and 5 points each. Finishing with 2 points each was Braydon Prochaska, Ryan Perkins, Joel Jamison, and Jason McDaniel.  Grady Brayton and Dakota Cooper had 6 and 5 rebounds each.  Ryan Perkins had a game high 7 assists.

LOOKING AHEAD

Thursday February 9, 2012, will find the Warriors against Bennington.  The games will be played in Bennington beginning with JV Boys and Varsity Girls at 6:00 PM.
Winter homecoming will be Friday, February 10, 2012; the Warriors are at home against Sylvan-Lucas Unified, with JV girls starting at 4:00 p.m.  followed by the JV boys, Varsity Girls and then the Varsity Boys.
On Saturday February 11,  the boys travel to Tipton for a JV tournament. Games will start at 10:30 a.m.
