Two Warrior Football Players Receive State Recognition

Zach DeMars and Chase Gumm received Honorable Mention 8-Man All State in the Topeka Capital Journal for their efforts this past season. This is DeMars’ second year making the Capital Journal team while it is the first year for Gumm.

DeMars made it at an offensive End spot and tallied 41 receptions for 668 yards, rushed the ball for 623 yards, and threw 2 touchdown passes. DeMars had 22 total Touchdowns, 10 rushing and 12 receiving Touchdowns. Through his Junior year DeMars has tallied 103 receptions and 1581 receiving yards for the Warriors.
Gumm made the all state team as a back. Gumm also had impressive numbers this year as he through for 999 yards, had 13 passing Touchdowns to only three interceptions. Gumm also rushed for 441 yards with five touchdowns and had 2 receiving touchdowns. Through his Junior year Gumm has passed for 2659 yards.
