All the Southern Cloud Track and Field Seniors qualified for the State Track and Field Meet held at Cessna Stadium on the Campus of Wichita State University on the 27th and 28th of May. We had two Regional Champions and 2 regional runner-ups. Erin Crawford-Kearn and Bryanna Cool of Glasco High School were Champions and Chase Gumm of Glasco High School and David Leonard of Miltonvale High School were runner-ups. Crawford-Kearn won the high jump with a jump of 5’4”, Cool won the Triple Jump with a jump of 35’6.5”, Gumm took second in the Javelin with a throw of 175’10” and Leonard finished a close second in the 1600m run with a time of 4:47.38. These seniors have had a great year and all of them have a great shot at taking home some hardware at the state meet. Gumm throws at 9:45 am on Friday, Crawford-Kearn High Jumps at 8:00 am Saturday morning, Cool Triple Jumps at 1:15 pm on Saturday and Leonard runs the 1600m at 1:45 pm. The Warriors also had some strong performances that came just short of qualifying for state. The Glasco Girls 4x400m relay (Cool, Molly Schmidt, Faith Peters, Crawford-Kearn) Finished fifth, Ryan Perkins finished sixth in the 300m hurdles and Chase Gumm finished sixth in the discus.
