Erin Crawford-Kearn and Bryanna Cool both took home medals from the State Track and Field meet held this past weekend in Wichita. Crawford-Kearn took second in the high jump with a jump of 5 feet 6 inches. This was her best jump of the year and she could not have found a better place to PR. Cool took 6th in the triple jump with a jump of 35 feet and one half inch. They both had great years and they capped there senior year off with a bang.
Dave Leonard and Chase Gumm also participated but did not medal. Gumm was not able to throw the javelin due to an elbow injury. Gumm had the states best throw with a best of 182 feet 3 inches. Leonard took 11th running his fastest time ever in the 1600m run. Leonard ran a 4:47.29. Both Leonard and Gumm had great seasons and getting to the State track meet is quite an accomplishment.
