Lady Braves Fall To Knights

     On last Thursday, January 5, the Lady Braves traveled to Cawker City, KS to play the Lakeside Knights. The poor foul shooting and the poor shooting on field goals proved too much for the Lady Braves to over come as the Braves fell to the Knights 11-23.
   
    In the first quarter, the Lady Braves were not able to score, while the home team Knights poured in 5 points. In the second quarter the Braves were outscored 2-3 by the Knights. The teams went into half time with the Lady Braves trailing 2-8.

    In the second half the Lady Braves were outscored 9-15. The final score saw the Braves lose to the Knights 11-23.

Score Quarters: Braves     0 2 6 3 -11
                          Knights     5 3 9 6 -23

Individual scoring: Katelynn 1, Sarah 1, Rayna 7, Bailey P. 2
Inidividual Stats: Rebounds,Steals,Assists,Blocked Shots
Rayna Schmidt 1-1-0-4; Anne Pruitt 1-2-0-1; Sarah Stein 2-1-0-2; Makaila Custer 1-0-0-1; Sienna Gray 2-0-0-2.

    The B team girls defeated the Lady Knights 22-15. In the first half the Lady Braves scored 15 points, while allowing the Knights to score 5 points. In the second half the Braves tallied 7 points. While the Knights scored 10. This gave the Lady Braves a 22-15 victory.

Score Quarters:   Braves:   8 7 5 2 - 22
                            Knights:  2 3 3 7 - 15
Individual scoring: Jacey Fowler 10, Sarah Stein 3, Whitney Ehlers 2, McKenna Scott 2, BeyLee Brummet 5.
   
    The C team tied in the two quarter game 2-2. Brittney Golightly scored the only basket  for the Lady Braves.

    The next game will be on January 12 at Glasco vs. Rock Hills.
