PE Class Activities

by Tyler Williams

March 08, 2012

The kids have done a fantastic job with adjusting to a new teacher’s curriculum.  One of the main focuses has been fitness.  We start off each class period with a warm-up activity to get their heart rate going.  After the warm-up, the students go to their assigned spots where a student leader leads them in their daily exercises, which consist of Jumping Jacks, Push-Ups, Sit-Ups, Squat Thrusts, Windmill Toe-Touches, and Tarzan Toe-Touches.  When the exercises are complete, the kids get to enjoy an activity that focuses on skill development and fitness.  We have spent the majority time thus far working on throwing, kicking, and catching.  Each class has worked hard and has been a joy to teach.
