This nine weeks has students immersed in grammar. Parts of speech, usage, and practice keep them busy. Of course, daily reading and journal writing is also on the menu. We're working on AR points as well.
Some Title I students are finding success with the FastForWord computer programs. Gains are being made and improvement can be seen in the classroom. One class has finished a penguin unit while learning to take notes and pick out important material. The Blossom Family series by Betsy Byars is being read and enjoyed. Just hope no one gets the idea to fly off the barn with homemade wings!
