The senior class is reading about the many powers held by the President. They will also review how the expansion of the power of the executive branch over the years has brought about intense debate. The presidency is often called “the most powerful office in the world,” and students will study why the President’s power continues to grow today.

The class also discussed the role of the U.S. Secret Service. They were able to learn about the incredible measures employed to protect the President, his family, and other American leaders in the high-threat-level, post-911 era.
