For the third consecutive season, Jocelyn Buller, of the Southern Cloud Runnin' Warrior cross country team, has earned the right to be an All-Northern Plains League honoree.

She did so, Thursday, October 11, at the course north of Downs, by medaling in the 8th position, of the NPL girls' runners who were within the larger Lakeside Invitational field. The senior for SC also did so in tremendous fashion, setting her career personal record time of 22:27, which is 14 seconds better than her previous PR, set at Beloit two years ago.

Also having productive days, in their first seasons running cross country, were freshmen Mallory Bellows and Taylor Cox, and junior Nevyn Gold.

Bellows wiped out her own PR, from Beloit this year, by one minute and three seconds, at Thursday's NPL Meet.

Fellow freshman girl, Cox, squeezed her way under an earlier time at Beloit, setting her PR, two seconds better than Beloit two weeks ago.

In the boys' race, Gold sliced 58 seconds from his personal best time, that he had also posted at Beloit earlier.

Seniors Carson Bellows and Ashton Cooper also had good days.

Bellows had a season-best, by 39 seconds, at Downs.

Cooper, on the road to recovery, from an illness that kept her from the Bennington meet, then a knee injury that sidelined her for Belleville and Beloit, had a season-best at the NPL Meet, 3 minutes and 22 seconds under her previous best of the 2018 campaign.

Girls NPL Results--Jocelyn Buller, 8th Place Medal, 22:27 (PR); Mallory Bellows, 30th, 26:43 (PR); Taylor Cox, 31st, 26:52 (PR); Ashton Cooper, 36th, 28:42.

Note: Always important to the Warrior cause in the past few years, senior Kaitlyn Morris and sophomore Shea McMillan were unable to run Thursday, and have been shut down for the year, due to injuries that are exacerbated with the treachery of the 5000-meter hilly runs.

Boys NPL Results--Dusty Mason, 13th, 20:21; Carson Bellows, 21st, 21:26; Morgan Coleman, 35th, 23:25; Ryan Paillet, 36th, 23:28; Avery Wyatt, 42nd, 24:45; Nevyn Gold, 43rd, 24:58 (PR)

This concludes the regular season portion of the Southern Cloud schedule. Their next action will be the Regional Meet, to be held Saturday, October 20, at Washington County's Cedar Hills Golf Course, next to Hwy. 15, a few miles south of Washington. The girls will make their stab at qualifying for State at 10:00 a.m. that day, while the boys will begin at 10:40 a.m.
