Lady Warriors top Wakefield

     The Lady Warriors were able to get their winning ways alive, handling Wakefield on the road by a score of 41-15.  After starting the game 6-6, the Lady Warriors went on a 21-0 run to close out the half, taking a 27-6 lead to the break.  The pressure defense and unselfish play of the Lady Warriors paced the run.

     The second half, Southern Cloud dialed down the pressure and moved players around, leading to less scoring but still held Wakefield to only 9 second half points.  Every Warrior player suited up saw action and recorded a positive statistic. 

     The win is the fourth straight for the Lady Warriors as they improve their record to 4-1 on the season.  Next game up is on the road against league foe St. John’s/Tipton at Beloit on December 18 at 6:00.

Scoring for the Lady Warriors: Kaitlyn Morris 19, Logan Cool 6, Shea McMillan 4, Jordyn Scott 4, Ashton Cooper 2, Emily Stein 2, Athina Liby 2, Rael Beals 2

Other notable stats:  Morris had 6 thefts, McMillan had 5 assists and 7 rebounds, Logan Cool contributed 7 boards as well to share the team-high
