School Counseling News

Hello, I serve as the school counselor for Glasco and Miltonvale Grade Schools. I’m in Glasco each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Miltonvale on Wednesdays and Fridays. This school year, we are focusing on the six .pillars of character from Character Counts in our weekly counseling lessons. Responsibility is the character trait of the month for September. Students are practicing these skills for responsibility:
- Do what you are supposed to do. Try your best.
- Persevere. Keep on trying.
- Be self-disciplined (complete school work on time, take care of your belongings, help others, listen)
- Think before you act. Be accountable for your words, actions, and attitudes.
We’ve had a fantastic start to the school year, and lots of great sharing on how we do and can put responsibility into action each day. Please reach out if you need anything.
