The 2019/20 school year is off to an excellent start! I have been very welcomed by the staff, students, and community in this district.

This fall, we have been focused on repetition of daily procedures. The students have done a wonderful job of adapting to my expectations. We have focused on team building activities and cooperative learning as we get to know one another this semester. The students are learning how to interact with their peers, as well as how to display good sportsmanship. During our body and spatial awareness unit, the students learned how to safely chase and flee within boundaries. They are learning body control, while learning about the importance of cardiovascular endurance.

The students completed pre-Fitness Gram testing this fall. Each student has a baseline, and we will track our growth and development throughout the school year. Our skill progression will include incorporating advanced activities/skills as the year goes on.

I am excited to teach the students a variety of individual and group activities. Our upcoming units will include large group team games such as volleyball and basketball.
