Southern Cloud is Returning to the Links!
4/8/22
(Miltonvale/Glasco) For the first time in 2 years the Southern Cloud Warriors will play high school golf. The last 2 seasons were wiped out by Covid-19, but this year there is renewed interest in playing golf.
The team has no returning letter winners or anybody that has been on the golf team before, so this will be a whole new experience for the players.
The only Senior is Gabe Rice, Juniors are Simon Guyett, Zane Morris, and Levi Cool, the only Sophomore is Ethan Kennedy, and 2 Freshman, Natalie Barney-Hauck and Donovan Burch round out the team.
The 1st meet will be in Glasco for the St. John Invitational. Beloit’s course is under repair. It is a varsity only meet and will start at 10:00 AM.
“We are really excited to be golfing again. The 1st couple of meets will be a big learning experience for our golfers. They’re looking forward to the challenge.” quoted Warrior Coach Rick Hatfield. “I’ve been really happy with our effort even though the weather has been cold and windy, they’ve come out and worked hard,” added Hatfield.
