First & Second Grade News

by Samantha Trembath

April 18, 2019

This spring has been a fast and furious! I cannot believe we are closing up on the end of the year. The 2nd-5th grade science class is getting ready to have their science fair projects out on display during the art show. They are learning a lot about partner work. Having to work with someone is hard. Especially, if they are not your cup of tea. Life is kind of this way. In all walks of life we at one time or another work with someone who is not our cup of tea and we have to put on a happy face and carry on with our job. This is a hard lesson we are all learning during this project. Other than that they are having a blast. They are learning typing skills and graphing. They are learning how to present and a lot about chemical reactions and physics. As for my 1st and 2nd graders we have been having a great time reading to our friends at the NICOL home on Fridays. The 4th graders have pen pals with the residents and have obtained lots of information from their elders. This year is coming to an end and I feel sad and glad all at the same time. I am sad because I will miss my students and co-workers. I am glad because I love my bed and look forward to sleeping in and napping with my toddler. This was my first year here at Southern Cloud and I feel that things went smoothly but next year will only be even better. Hope you all have a great summer and remember:
