“B” Players Represent Warrior Golf Team

(Downs) The Southern Cloud “A” Golfers couldn’t make the trip to Lakeside on Tuesday due to track responsibilities, so Simon Guyett and Mason Knudsen represented the Warrior Golf Team in the Lakeside Invitational, 5 miles north of Downs; at the Downs Golf Course.
Mason Knudsen shot 72 for 9 holes and Simon Guyett shot 83 for 9 holes. Both golfers played in the “B” Tournament. Mason finished in 24th place and Simon finished in 25th place on the day. Both were seeing their 1st action of their careers.
“We didn’t score real well but I thought for the 1st time playing in a tournament they did very well. It was stressed to all the “B” players not to slow down the “A” players and our guys did a good job of doing that. We now know what it is like to be in a tournament and they now can begin to bring the scores down.” quoted Warrior Coach Rick Hatfield.
Hopefully all the Warriors will be at Leonardville on Thursday, May 4th for the Leonardville Invitational. This is an important tournament because this is where State Golf will be played this year. “We want to get a good look at this course and see what we can do on it.” said Hatfield.
