Jordyn Scott Shoots 131 in Last Tournament

by Rick Hatfield

May 16, 2019

Jordyn Scott finished her Southern Cloud golf career on Tuesday at Tipton on a warm pretty afternoon.  She shot a 131 for 19th place.  It wasn’t her best outing, but it was worth remembering for what a gutty performance she has given the Warriors the last 4 years.  She has played in bad weather, St. John was so cold last year that the Polar Bears shivered, and she has played in extreme heat, wind, and every other weather available to Kansas in the spring of the year.  The most important thing is she played.  She never quit, she never gave up, or gave in, she just kept playing, even though she isn’t even 120 pounds!  For this she will always be one of the most remembered golfers in Warrior history.

For the record, Kale Dubbert won the event with a 75, Eric Koenigsmen took 2nd, Alex Ketter took 3rd, and Mason Duskie took 4th place.

Tipton won the event with a 342 and St. John took 2nd with a 356.

In the B-Team tournament Matt Paillet (SC) took 11th with a 73 and Olivia Rolph (SC) took 12th with an 80. Wiese won with a 44.
