Tescott Pre-Season Tournament

Game #1 vs. Sylvan-Lucas

The Warriors traveled to Tescott to take on Sylvan-Lucas in game one of the tournament and falling to the Mustangs 29-39. The Warriors battled the entire game but had a hard time scoring on the night. The Warriors only had 3 players score lead by Jackson with 12, Nevyn 9 and Morgan 8. The Warriors struggled from the free throw line and gave the Mustangs way to many opportunities on second chance points. The Warriors look to bounce back in game two against the Tescott Trojans.

Game #2 Tescott

The Warriors took care of business against the Tescott Trojans in the second game of the tournament 37-30. It was a hard fought back and forth game with the Warriors being able to outlast the Trojans in the end. The Warriors were lead in scoring by Nevyn with 24 points on the night with 12 of those from the free throw line. Bryson came in off the bench and brought energy to the floor and played a great game for the Warriors. Tony Duggin made his first start of his career for the Warriors playing incredible defense having 7 steals and 4 points. The Warriors had a season high 23 steals on the night which was an important factor in coming away with the victory.

Game #3 Wilson

The Warriors got second place in the Tescott Tournament by beating Wilson on Friday night 48-43. The Warriors played together as a team and shared the ball with one another tremendously well. The team limited its turnovers and did a really good job playing team defense and hitting the boards really hard. Nevyn Gold lead the Warriors in scoring and also won the free throw contest at the tournament making 28-30 free throws. Up next for the Warriors is the home opener for the season against the Wakefield Bombers.
