English & Yearbook News - GHS

by Nathan Haefele

September 10, 2019

These past 3 weeks sure have been busy for English in Glasco.  Our 7th and 8th graders have been working on writing Personal Narratives and Eyewitness accounts while working on grammar skills.  The High School students are starting to get into the first large work of the year.  We are reading “The Canterbury Tales” in 12th; “The Crucible” in 11th; “The Tragedy of Julius Caesar” in 10th; and getting ready to read “The Odyessey” in 9th grade.

Our yearbook staff has already gone out and about selling ads and is now starting to make sure we have everything accounted for.  We’ve been busy creating our yearbook structure and design, as well as covering the first games of the season.

I look forward to the excitement the rest of the year will bring and can’t wait to see these young students become young adults.
