Warriors Played Hard
On Thursday, November 9, the Southern Cloud Jr. High Warriors hosted a really talented Wakefield Jets team. In the girl’s game, the Jets jumped out to a commanding lead 16-2. The Lady Warriors made a small come back in the second quarter outscoring the Jets 6-4, but trailed the Jets 20-8. The Lady Warriors played most of the second quarter with 4 girls, due to an injury. The Lady Warriors played the entire second half with only 4 girls. The Jets came out in the third quarter and took advantage of the shorthanded Lady Warriors, outscoring them 12-2, giving the Lady Jets a commanding lead 32-10 going into the fourth quarter. The final quarter saw the Lady Jets finish the quarter with 6, while the Lady Warriors only scored 2 points; the Lady Jets won 38-12. Leading the way for the Lady Warriors was Christian Smith with 6 points, followed by Ava McCann with 4 points, and finish the scoring was Grace Demars with 2 points.
The Warriors faced a very talented 8th grade bunch of Wakefield Jets. The Jets came out and took a commanding lead of 15-0 in the first quarter; the second quarter didn’t get any better with the Jets scoring 12 more, giving them a 27-0 lead at half time. They struggled in the third quarter being outscored 14-0. The final quarter was a perfect defensive game with the Jets winning 49-0.
The JV boys lost to the Jets 27-4. James Robinson made two free throws and Jacob Clairmont made 2 points for the Warriors.
