SC Lady Warriors vs Wakefield & St. John's-Tipton
By: Coach Jeff Benyshek
The Lady Warriors competed against Wakefield last Tuesday and St. John’s / Tipton on Friday. The Warriors put some drives together and finished well at the rim. In bound plays are also being executed which help the Lady Warriors stay focused. Defense is still a work in progress, but with each practice getting a better understanding of what is expected of each other and trusting the process. Once the defense has tighten up with good vision/ balance, to help each player will make it easier to defend and rebound the basketball.
Warriors are making good stridse on the offense side of the ball. The Lady Warriors are getting down hill and having opportunities for several lay ups during games. Due to the cutting towards the basket and putting press on the other teams helps the Warriors to get opportunities at the free throw line has also increased the teams over all percentage. Once they put it all together the offense will run smoothly, which will allow for other players contributing to scoring the basketball. Total points/rebounds for both games this week.
Georgia Rolph 4pts, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals
Kyndra Chase 5 rebounds
Anna Peterson 6 rebounds 1 steal
Bethany Demars 8 rebounds, and 5 steals
Emma Rice 29pts, 6 rebounds 2 steals
