SC Volleyball at Sylvan
The high school volleyball team travelled to Sylvan August 29, to start their season. The players this year are: Georgia Rolph, SR; Kaycee Waite, SR; Bethany Demars, JR; Trinity Garst, JR; Anna Peterson, JR; Kyndra Chase, SO; Jayden Howard, FR; Ellen Padgette, FR; and Emma Rice, FR. The team has four returning players from last year with experience, three incoming freshmen, one player coming off an injury year, and one player new to the sport. The Lady Warriors first match was against the Thunder Ridge Longhorns. Many good things happened such as senior Kaycee Waite getting several kills, but in the end they came up short losing in two games 15-25 and 17-25. Immediately following they played Sylvan-Lucas. The Mustangs were not hurting for players as they had 29 players on their roster. All the Warriors saw some play time but were not able to win. The final game scores were 10-25 and 14-25.
